SlovoEd powerful dictionary engine

Resident module. This powerful feature enables you to translate words without switching between applications ? just select a word in any application and choose "translate" in the pop-up menu. Moreover, you can launch SlovoEd Pocket PC dictionary at any time by pressing a hardware button on your device.

Search engine. Just enter a word (or any part of the word, so-called wildcard template) you would like to find in the dictionary and start the search module. Using templates in SlovoEd Pocket PC dictionary you can search and translate words, even if you don''t remember their exact spelling. Also you can make up and solve crosswords. Search history function gives you quick access to the list of last words you have recently looked up.

SlovoEd sound (voice modules)

Add-on sound (voice) modules available for English, Spanish, French and Italian languages are the new feature of SlovoEd dictionaries. The modules enable to listen pronunciations of words with high quality due to special technology of compressing the live voice of native speakers.

We strongly recommend you to use headphones while listening pronunciations on your Pocket PC device!

By default, SlovoEd dictionaries do not include sound modules. You can install one or more sound modules later at any time, choosing a module of any size:

• Advanced (10,000 words - 10 MB)
• Standard (5,000 words - 5 MB)

that answers your device memory limitations.

SlovoEd language learning

A lot of dictionary databases used with SlovoEd dictionaries provide phonetic transcription for the words. You can either look at the transcription of a word or listen to it and improve your pronunciation (the words are spoken by professional native speakers) Advanced method of learning new words ?Flash Cards Quiz?: it enables you to create you own tests and pass them again and again Possibility of learning words using the ?Word of the day? feature (each day a word is chosen at random from the dictionary and shown on the start of the program)
